The only plus for this apartment was the great location

The apartment had a generally poor aged appearance Missing floorboards in the kitchen covered by an old weathered rug Loose bathroom floor tiles Missing skirting boards piled up behind sofa Wardrobe doors falling off the rails Split air conditioner needing daily draining by emptying a bucket from a tight spot on the balcony Very basic kitchen equipment Lack of toiletries for the length of our stay ( one garbage bag etc) told by management that we had to buy our own Told to empty all rubbish on leaving or be fined Would we stay here again. No Would we recommend it to anyone No

The best

All the necessities were there, including two closets and lots of drawers. Kitchen was well-appointed. Bathroom was new and the shower was great. Windows opened. Heater/AC worked. Street was quiet after 11. Got quick responses from the management team. Great location.

To be improved

Some areas, like the kitchen floor and wall paint, need to be fixed. The kitchen should get some rubber or silicone cooking tools or the newer pans will be ruined.

“Great modern apartment in city hosted by friendly and welcoming hosts.”
The best

Location to local amenities great, bars restaurants cafes, shops all around, good sized apartment and modern. Met by the host who was very informative and friendly. The bathroom was modern and clean and had a good size walk in shower which was powerful. The kitchen had a full size fridge/ freezer, washing machine and dryer and dishwasher, plenty of crockery, pans etc so very well equipped. Air conditioning was provided if required. Lounge area good size with balcony and comfortable seating. Overall this apartment is everything you’d need to enjoy your stay in Madrid, so we would definitely recommend and use again.

To be improved

There are a few minor issues with the decoration which could be resolved, some of the skirting boards were loose and the bed needs a mattress protector as none was provided.
