The apartment had a spacious terrace, which we really enjoyed, and the heated swimming pool was a great addition to our stay. The location was nice and overall we did manage to have a good time.

To be improved

The process of getting into the apartment wasn’t very smooth. We were not in touch with the actual owner, but with someone who maintains the place. Communication wasn’t clear, and the instructions for check-in were a bit confusing. The apartment was fairly clean on arrival, but not spotless. Most of the glasses were scratched and had limescale buildup, it wouldn’t cost much to replace them. The fridge also had a strong unpleasant smell. No one came to clean or change the towels or bedsheets during our 12-day stay. While there was a washing machine, the door was already broken and came off when we tried to use it. We avoided reporting it at first out of fear we’d be blamed especially after having to pay €118 for a locksmith when the entrance door locked with the keys inside (due to the wind). It wasn’t mentioned anywhere that the door couldn’t be unlocked if the keys were left inside. A notice or a better lock system (like our neighbours had) would help avoid this issue for future guests. After we checked out, the caretaker messaged us with a photo of the broken washing machine door, saying they would report it to Booking and make us pay for it. I explained that it was already broken and that we had proof, they stopped responding after that. It left us with the impression that they may have known about the issue beforehand and were just waiting for a guest to take the blame, which didn’t feel fair. The kitchen extractor fan wasn’t working either, so whenever we cooked, the entire apartment would smell like food. We had to leave the entrance door open to let the air out. The terrace also needed a bit of cleaning, which we did ourselves with the broom provided.

Well equipped apartment. Convenient location for shops and restaurants. Next to swimming pool. Excellent wifi.

To be improved

Only 1 sunbed (an argument waiting to happen!). Seating in Lounge area uncomfortable. No information in apartment with wifi code, how to connect TV. etc.

The best

Excellent communication before and during our arrival. We received clear instructions on how to enter the apartment, and our late arrival was no problem. The apartment is in a new building complex, clean and well maintained, a few minutes walk from a nice shopping center and the beach (which is windy, but beautiful).

To be improved

Blankets could be washed, they were quite worn.
