“Lovely villa and location but could do with a little attention”

The villa had secure parking for 2 cars. Lovely views of the sea from the porch or pool.

Bbq area is on a lower level so cannot leave kids in pool whilst preparing bbq. Pool had missing tiles which meant it had sharp edges. Quite a few of us ended up with cuts. Villa seems to have been fitted with high quality building materials. However, it seems the owner hasn't bothered spending much money in fittings and towel hooks are self adhesive plastic hooks. No instructions booklet left on property explaining how anything works. Even uncovering the pool was tricky. Not much shade provided on the area next to porch where there are 4 sun beds.

Location was perfectly peaceful and relaxing. The outdoor area is lovely too.

To be improved

The property could do with an updated sofa as it looks to have seen better days nor is it comfortable or even spacious enough to fit the supposed 8 people staying in the villa. The area under the sofa had not been cleaned in god knows how long and when advising the company at the end of the stay, they did say we should have contacted them about this so heads up, if you find it to be disgustingly dirty just tell them and they say they will send a cleaner. Other than that, everything else was great!

Managed by a rental agency who are terrible. The emergency/out of hours number cannot be called and they will only communicate via text message. Not sure it had been cleaned in advance of the stay (even though you are charged for cleaning) Ordered and paid for a cot to be available when we arrived. I checked the day before and was advised everything was in place. This was not there on arrival. Spent hours trying to sort. Shower not connected to wall in bathroom Lots of general wear and tear. No inventory left to sign off so be sure to photograph EVERYTHING on arrival or you will be charged from the security deposit even when it was in that condition on arrival. Very little privacy from neighbouring villa. Only one set of keys and gate keys provided. Only 3 sun loungers for a villa that sleeps 8. The property is definitely ready for a refurb including the pool which is missing a number of tiles and is due a clean.
