“Enjoying stay, hotel nice, very clean, accommodation staff friendly.”
Good choice if breakfast.
Queuing for breakfast. Felt rushed to eat breakfast, plates taken away as soon as food finished. Staff not too friendly in restaurant, was approached by manager in restaurant about an unpaid alcohol from previous persons in our room.
“Fantastic Stay at 4R Playa Park, Salou (October 2025)”
We stayed at the 4R Playa Park in mid to late October and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect – about 10–15 minutes’ walk to Salou promenade and less than 5 minutes down to Platja Llarga, a beautiful quiet beach with clear water and lovely access either by steps or a gentle ramp. Having such a stunning beach so close was amazing! All the staff were excellent. The reception team spoke many languages and were always helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff were very diligent – everything was spotless at all times. The bar staff were polite and spoke good English (although we always try to use some Spanish). The restaurant staff were wonderful – they made us feel very welcome and often arranged a quiet table for us. The ladies there were also very kind with the children, greeting them with smiles. Our room was great. The whole hotel looks newly renovated – everything felt fresh, modern, and tastefully decorated. The TV was a good size and worked perfectly with our TV stick using the free Wi-Fi. We had two double beds, which gave us plenty of space. The beds were a little firm for me, but still comfortable. The bathroom was large with a big shower and lots of room to move around. The cleaning team worked very hard to keep everything looking perfect every day. The food was excellent. Everything was kept hot or cold as it should be, and the presentation was always very good. There was a good variety of dishes, and we often saw the chefs walking around checking that everything was right. There are several swimming pools at the hotel (not heated), all kept very clean with a good, friendly atmosphere around them. There was evening entertainment, but it started a bit late for us, so we didn’t get a chance to see it. The bar area is large and comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone. Every day they had a Happy “Hour” between 16:45 and 17:30 – not very well advertised, but excellent value! Two pints of Estrella Damm for €3.50 – yes please! The bar also served snacks throughout the day at good prices. We stayed half board, so we used the café a few times and really enjoyed it. One evening there was a Gala Night in the restaurant. We asked at reception what that meant, and the lady smiled and said, “Free champagne… and fish!” We were instantly sold! We enjoyed our dinner with free champagne that evening – such a nice touch. We booked this holiday very last minute (just the day before travelling) and didn’t know what to expect. But we were extremely impressed with absolutely everything. The location is perfectly balanced – peaceful near the beach, yet close to the liveliness of Salou. The staff were all amazing, everything was spotless, the food was great, and the whole experience was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so welcoming – and a special thank you to the lady who brought me free champagne for my birthday during our stay. That was such a thoughtful surprise and made our trip even more special! We would highly recommend 4R Playa Park to anyone visiting Salou.
“Nice hotel, shame about room noise level in evenings”
Hotel itself, nice and clean. Rooms good. We were ground floor and noise levels in evening were bad. Bar is underneath the rooms so you could hear the singer until 11pm not good if you don't want late nights/have l children. Also on weekends the hotel had 100s of Spanish guests there for conferences meaning the queue for food was 20 plus minutes just to get into the restaurant. Food ok, puddings good. Pool doesn't get sun until afternoon but a beautiful beach 5 mins away. Also cami de Ronda ( amazing costal walk from her too)
“top of the hill”
4rplaya park salou nice hotel rooms plenty of space in them food nice and veried good choice you can always find somthing to eat show cooking great no problem getting a sunbed only negative about this hotel is top of a hill so going to beach or into town ok going down hill not so good going back up to hotel first time we been to this hotel so was,nt sure of location all in all we had good time would go again
“Good if you get a deal”
Playa Park is Salou is a very nice hotel. It clean and tidy and the majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. So the upside. As I said, clean and tidy, majority friendly staff, daily room service, walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and so on. Close to nice beaches. Clean and tidy pool area and I would say for drinks etc it’s very reasonably priced bordering cheap. Rooms were an ok size. Beds were comfy, showers were easy accessible even for us of bigger proportions, always a win. If you are coming to this hotel avoid the rooms in the 30s on what looks like the ground floor. Yes great access of you have buggies but you’re right above the bar area. If you have kids or like some sleep then be prepared to not get to sleep till after 23.30 when the entertainment finished or after 0100 if they are moving tables around. The noise is unbearable. I’m going home for a rest. The issue I have with this is they expect you to be up and make it breakfast!! We managed breakfast once cause we were just too tired to be bothered. Also the walls in the room are paper thin!! You can hear a lot. One morning at 2am I heard someone somewhere asking their husband where he put the f ing hairbrush. I assumed by the noise they were leaving. Dining. Well this was an experience. Now I must stress that the majority of the staff were so polite and amazing. They are a credit to the establishment, however those who are replenishing the food at the buffet quite literally shove you out the way, there is what I can assume is the kitchen manager, a very unpleasant woman barging around being exceptionally rude. Get out her way of you cross paths. You’ve been warned!! Now the dining area as youd expect is always insanely busy. There people barging all over the place. The food itself was what youd expected at this style of dining and plentiful but make sure you get in first. The pool area is far too small for the size of hotel. We were out of season but I’d hate to see it at the height of summer. There is a lot of sunbeds etc but relaxing by the pool isn’t going to happen if there is kids in the pool which of course they are entitled to be. Accessing the pool isn’t fun either. You’ve to meander through tables and chairs. And to get back to your room you must make sure you’re dried properly or you’re having and accident on the marble floor. Also the location of the hotel is right at the top of the hill. Remember that when booking as walking down to beaches and salou itself is easy waking back is all up hill. As I said the hotel is nice and clean and worth it if you get if for the right price. Over all a pleasant enough stay
“Really nice hotel”
Stayed October 2026 for a week half board. Hotel very clean, staff very nice, room nice, food was actually very good, ( can't understand why some people had trouble with it ). Bar prices were as good if not better than the local bars. Had a great time can't fault the place.
