“Hidden gem”
This place is a hidden gem. It is just slightly off stage of the Camino in a little town called Furelos, just before Melide. Furelos has 3 bar/ cafe/ restaurants that are 500meters- 1 km away. We had our best night of sleep on a comfortable very matress. They have a big common area with couches, table, and a kitchen. There's a also a large patio in back. Pay attention to messages from the owner. He will give you a more direct path from the Camino that avoids walking on the shoulder of the highway.

Friendly and helpful owner who helped me organise sending my bag on to the next destination. Snacks in the fridge and on the side with a little piggy bank for donations towards, which was helpful as the shops were at least a 20 minute walk away. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud. Good value for money. Would suit a larger group as there are 5 bedrooms each with their own bathroom.
I didn't realise how far out of town it was. I thought there might be a little store nearby. There was a restaurant about 5 mins walk but they were not serving food until 8pm. I got there around 4pm looking for food as I was starving and had missed lunch. So be prepared for this and bring things with you. In a lot of the accommodations I've stayed in along the way, they provide tea but then I have no idea how to heat the water as there is no kettle, only a coffee machine. And I sometimes struggle to figure out how to use the appliances (I could not get the stove to work) so I heated water in the microwave in the end. I think a welcome manual would be a good idea with some local info on what's nearby for food/ groceries etc and basic instructions for the appliances and for using the heating etc as it's getting chilly now . I am sure the owner would have told me how to use if I had messaged but didn't want to keep bothering him. More signs when you enter the pedestrian gate would be good. I started walking down towards the building but there were dogs there and I started wondering if I was at the right place. I kept walking past but felt like i was in someone's property and finally reached the sign for the accommodation. It would be helpful to have a sign with directions once you've walked in through the pedestrian gate and past the owners house (found this out afterwards).
“Perfect Stay”
The host was the best ever! When lost on the Camino, I contacted him and he and his wife walked to find us. The house was spacious and comfortable, with king- sized beds!
