Convenient location near the beach, but caution needed about water quality.
Fresh fish restaurants nearby, positively impacting food and beverage experience.
Overall sentiment was mixed; satisfactory but with notable drawbacks.
Owner was not reachable and there were issues with receiving keys, indicating subpar service.
Apartment described as high with lots of stairs, lacking some basic amenities like windows in bedrooms.
Better quality and cheaper options available elsewhere, suggesting average value.
“It was OK”
Terase is spacious, furniture with parasol, good view, clean, quiet, convenient location near beach (but watch out for the water quality! sewage goes in there) and fresh fish restaurants.
Apartment is high up, lots of stairs, no lift, for those with heavy suitcase. It's a 3* so that's how it is. It was clean, but deeper cleaning is up to you. Lights with cold white bulbs are terrible. Bedrooms don't have windows, but two doors each, you can leave the doors open for daylight. Lots of wind. You'll get better quality and cheaper elsewhere in Europe, it doesn't have to be Tenerife.
“Comfortable flat in a quiet location”
We loved the property and its spacious balcony. The village is small , there is a pebble beach just across the road from the apartment and lots of restaurants . There is a large car park 2 minutes walk from the property and it is free.
“Very great value for money”
“Passable”
Neighbours where having party and very noisy also cigarettes falling into open roof and nothing around you a shop and expensive restaurant. You have to have a car. It's a one off for us unfortunately!
“Could be exceptional with a little love and small investments.”
Great value for money and location couldn't be better. The village is beautiful, with lovely restaurants, a decent supermarket, gorgeous views and a lovely pebble beach just a few paces from the front door. Just down from the apartment, a local chap crafts the most beautiful items from wood and sells his wares from his garage. Definitely make space in your luggage for a piece of his work. This is a place to flex the Spanish language muscle. If you don't know any Spanish, a translation app can help you, make the effort, it really is appreciated. The apartment itself is very spacious, all the furnishings look fresh and new, two bedrooms, a good sized bathroom and a separate area out the back for doing and drying laundry which is great if it's too windy out the front. Unfortunately the big roof terrace at the back is inaccessible. The shower is probably the best we've had on our numerous visits to the island. Piping hot water and enough for both of us! The terrace is lovely. Getting the sun pretty much all day, it's a lovely spot to relax. (Yes, there is a dog that lives upstairs. He barks a bit but there is NO WAY he can jump down onto the terrace as a previous reviewer feared!) The kitchen is equipped with basic essentials and has a brand new, very quiet, fridge/freezer. There's a few store cupboard items, tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil which is really handy, a nice touch. The mattresses are very comfortable and the bedrooms are completely dark at night. We didn't hire a car but used the local bus service. It's a bit of a walk up the hill to the bus stop but not too much effort. Public transport is pretty good on the island and reasonably priced. There are some nice walks in the area. Turn right when you get to the beach and you'll eventually get to La Mareta where there's a lovely little sandy beach. Definitely worth a stroll. In all, not a bad place for a reasonably priced break.
There's room for improvement. On arrival, apparently, the door unlocks when you press the buzzer outside. Nope. I wondered if it was because we were 15 minutes early and it was set to a timer. No. It just didn't work. Messaged the person of contact but straight away got an automatic response saying they were unavailable but gave us another number to message. Spent nearly 20 minutes trying to get in, not great after travelling nearly 12 hours. Eventually a neighbour came out and we got in. A response finally arrived, saying there was a key somewhere else in the village. Luckily we didn't have to traipse over there to get it but it's not ideal. Once in you can see there's been some cosmetic work recently as the lounge is really nicely decorated and furnished, however, the light fitting above the sink hasn't been fitted very well and there's a load of exposed wires beneath the coat pegs, not safe at all if bringing children. There is a cover for it but it was just leaning against the wall. There's a hole in the ceiling in the smaller bedroom where a bulb has been fitted and in the laundry room, the light is just a bulb, hanging from wires, out of the wall. As mentioned, the terrace is lovely, however there is only one lounger which is a real shame. The Superdino in El Medano has loungers for sale for under €70, this small investment could make a real difference! The plastic table, the only dining table here, is so bowed, you can't really put glasses on it safely. Also, we couldn't lock the terrace doors but the area felt so safe, it didn't really worry us. The gas hob is a bit dicey in the kitchen area. There doesn't seem to be an ignition so they've supplied a gas lighter but it's out of fuel. Lighting the hob with a cigarette lighter (also supplied) came with the added fun of whether you'd set your hands on fire! Luckily I escaped with just a slightly melted fingernail!
“Very good”
Nice location, big terrace, you can see a part of the ocean from it, spacious and nice apartment. A beach is very close - like 100 meters away, it looks nice, although covered with stones, and goes deep fast - probably not for small children. A little town has maybe 5 fish restaurants, a good shop, harbour, and spectacular rocks in the ocean.
Wifi was not working, the company tried to fix it on the time of my stay, but did not succeed. It could be fixed by now. The fridge was quite noisy, but if you sleep with earplugs, it will not bother you. There also hard to find a parking place for a car in front of the apartment, but you can park close - at the beach parking.
