“Rias baixas sightseeing”
Lovely little cottage with great views of the river estuary and sea from the bedroom. In the middle of an old fishing village with VERY narrow streets. All the parking sensors on all sides of our rented vw golf were going off! It did get less scary and no scratches on car. Walking distance to port with bars and restaurants. Very friendly locals. Good parking spot just around corner. Bread van toots its horn at about 10am, delicious local pan gallego. Superb beaches, restaurants, hiking. Easy access to main road and only 30 mins from santiago. Wifi great. Kitchenette fine for breakfast, snacks etc.
View from patio bit obscured. Bed was very comfortable but would like more/choice of pillows.
“Lovely clean, quiet house in a rural neighborhood”
This house is charming and comfortable, with a wood stove for warming up on a cool, rainy day (which we had!). The kitchen had everything to make it easy to prepare food, and eat at the nearby table. Bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, with a wonderful view toward the bay and water below. It was quiet, and nice to be in a setting that was more "country" than many others we stayed in. We could walk around the neighborhood with very little traffic, and lovely views. It's close enough to drive to Santiago de Compostela and to many other areas of beauty in the region.
Only one little difficulty were the very narrow roads/streets to get to the house but we just parked where it was easier and walked about 50 yards up a narrow street to reach the house rather than drive to the "official" parking spot, which was closer. It was our choice.
