It got quite cold in the apartment, it was colder inside than it was outside. We stayed in January. There is no heating and no air conditioning. There were quite a few things missing to make the apartment more “homey” but we managed. The biggest problem for us was the cleanliness… On the first glance everything looked good but the kitchen wasn’t as clean as it should be. We had to wash all the utensils before we used them. The drawer where the cutlery is stored was full of crumbs and dust. Everything looked clean-ish, not clean. I would recommend bringing some towels and paper towels. There was only one kitchen towel but it smelled HORRIBLE. So I couldn’t use it and immediately went and bought paper towels for the kitchen and only used those. The bigger cutting board in the kitchen had mold on it, it was still moist from someone cleaning it and again, it smelled horrible. For the bathroom we got 4 towels which smelled fine, before we used them, after one use, again, they started to smel horrible. Don’t make the mistake of leaving wet towels in the bathroom, or anywhere in the apartment because they will be unusable because of the horrible smell. There is no ventilation in the apartment and the moisture in the bathroom was quite bad, everything started to smell bad if you left it somewhere for a day, even in the bedroom. On the bed you get one really big and fluffy blanket and one thinner blanket. Those soft, fuzzy ones. They were not covered with sheets which felt disgusting to me, because God knows they didn’t wash them. The thinner one had a stain, from sand or dirt or something, so we went and bought our own sheets so we could sleep in a clean bed… The first time I went to use the bathroom in the apartment there was still some POOP in the toilet left. I guess the person cleaning the apartment really had to go.. Maybe it is just us, but we are used to a different level of cleanliness and maybe this is normal for the Spaniels, but we will not be returning.
