AC Hotel Badajoz by Marriott

Hotel staff were wonderful, they bent over backwards to see that all our needs were met. DO NOT EAT in the restaurant. Food is all packaged microwave, expensive and very low quality. Staff was excellent and very good it was plain bad food, just typical microwave fair.

We stayed for two nights in Badajoz. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Sergio at the front desk was especially helpful in making adjustments to our reservation. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The "family" room was clean and comfortable. The location is outside of the old town, so we drove to visit the sites there. It may be a bit of a long walk if you are unable to handle the distance. Underground, private garage parking was a plus (9 Euros a day extra) but gave us piece of mind after our travels with only street parking. Overall, accommodations were as I would expect from a Bonvoy Marriott. I would highly recommend.

Stopover on our way to the Algarve. The hotel is situated about 20 minutes walk along the river to the historic city centre. Many restaurants and some shops around. Free parking outside the hotel. Friendly staff. Room with 3 single beds (no rooms with one double and one single bed). Bathroom with bathtub (more and more rare these days). Breakfast offerings were OK. All by all, a nice hotel, well situated for a city trip or transit to the Algarve...

Well located, clean hotel. A true Marriott. Front desk Ms. Ana was very helpful and hospitable. Good breakfast with tasty food and friendly staff. Many nearby restaurants. Only problem was air conditioning not cooling enough at our Room. We reported it. Would certainly stay again.

I have stayed at this hotel before so we returned again on this trip. This hotel is very good, friendly reception and reasonable breakfast. Price was excellent too. Nearby a very large shopping mall with all kinds of stores and fast food places. Just across from the hotel there are excellent Tapas bars, restaurants. There is also a small park in front of the hotel. Plenty street parking and the hotel also have a garage.*****

Hotel was clean and comfortable, rooms all well maintained. Great Air con and Wi-fi. The hotel is situated the other side of the main town of Badajoz. It’s a 20 min walk across the river. However there are a few restaurants and bars nearby. We took a taxi to the town. When we asked what time the bar was open, they said it’s closed at weekends even to residents!! Breakfast was poor and expensive. Went elsewhere in the end. After a long motorbike ride across Spain, the first thing we all wanted was to relax with a beer, however we had to go elsewhere, unheard of in a hotel! We were given rooms right opposite a function room, therefore no peace until midnight. You would of thought you would be given guests rooms elsewhere first. Bit disappointing to be fair. Will be back to Badajoz, but another hotel unless it’s Monday to Friday when they actually have a bar.
