AC Hotel La Rioja by Marriott

Good location for my purpose. Good atmosphere. Good partaking. Excellent rooms. Great bathroom. Kind staff. But really low WiFi connection. If you need the internet for working, forget it! I couldn’t keep a video call because the connection was really bad. All the rest, very good 👍🏻

Shower water alternated between cold and hot. Noisey courtyard view. Next to a smelly. River. There are not restaurants nearby. The garage is ok for only the smallest of cars. We asked if they had a converter and was told “No.” with any further help or suggestions. Overall very meh. It was clean.

Having stayed at the hotel a couple of times before a couple of years ago, I booked again for this overnight stop. On arrival I asked to book a table in the restaurant for dinner but was amazed to be told that they no longer have a restaurant! I then asked what time did the bar open and was told "we don't open the bar anymore" The girl on reception was pleasant but obviously embarrassed. £100.00 a night to stay in a Marriott Hotel with no facilities, what a joke! On going to press their official website still boasts having a restaurant for dinner.

Location was walking distance to some great places. Property, staff, and room was very nice.

Pros. - the check in was quick and easy - the underground parking was spacious with EV charger - the upgraded room was stunning with bathtub and separate shower including two basin - good bed as always - the best breakfast buffet compared to other three different AC where I stayed in the last days Cons. - the gym could be upgraded a bit

Quiet and relaxed, super nice and helpful staff. Save and convenient parking in the same building.
