“Excellent location”

Excellent location and Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. If you have the right room you will have a view of the port and estuary. Cruise ships might block the view, but they usually sail away after a few hours. The location is next to the older part of town as well as being adjacent to the historical center, which has grand buildings and attractive parks, Estefania at the FRONT DESK was super nice with a lot recommendations to do around VIGO .

“Not a very pleasant stay”

We stayed at this hotel once again, this time with some friends. In July 2017 we wrote a detailed review. Unfortunately, the hotel was not as pleasing this time. My Titanium membership status was not acknowledged. We did not receive an upgrade for our room. The quality of sleep was terrible, as the room temperature was not maintained as desired—the AC kept switching off periodically and the room would heat up. Car parking is still in a separate building and remains confusing. I am not sure if we will return.

I recently stayed in Room 509 on the top floor and found several aspects disappointing. The room has sloped ceilings that made the space feel much smaller than advertised, and I frequently found myself hitting my head. The only window was a very small one set into the sloped ceiling, which limited natural light and ventilation. Additionally, the room was quite noisy starting early in the morning around 7 am, mainly due to housekeeping staff moving around and closing doors in nearby rooms. This made it difficult to rest or relax.

My stay at AC Hotel Palacio Universal in Vigo was truly lovely. The location is beautiful and peaceful, but what made it special was the staff always kind, professional, and welcoming, with a warm smile every time. Everything felt smooth and thoughtfully cared for. I left feeling calm, happy, and definitely wanting to return.
