“ripoff hotel”
Terrible hotel do not go there. Most of it was closed due to renovations however staff vey friendly. Do not check out without paying for your stay. Do not agree to get an email for a receipt. I did and once home was billed $400 dollars for the next night which i was not reimbursed for. Its hard to argue this when you are 1,000 miles away. Stay at the Don Caesar much better treatment.
“I expected more from one of the most expensive hotels in Zamora”
I had a very early train, so I decided to pay more (a LOT more) for its proximity to the train station. I wish I hadn't. The room was fine--absolutely no issues there. After checking in and going to my room after a long bus ride, I soon discovered the wi-fi password was nowhere in the room. I had to return to the front desk to get it (my Spanish is not reliable enough to do it by phone, and the staff's English is dicey at best). When asked why the easily-remedied, gross inconvenience, I was told "Marriott policy" (Dear Marriott... It's a stupid policy.) Speaking of stupid policies, this is the second hotel with international pretensions where I have stayed in Zamora where it is not possible to change the language for TV shows to the original language via the remote, something that every television in Spain is capable of, cable or not. (I visit Zamora with some frequency, and the last 4 or 5 hotels did not have this problem.) And when I asked "why on earth was this function disabled?", I was told "blah blah blayh 'del hotel'..." Translation: no one is going to try to remedy this. Spend all those euros elsewhere.

“Key highlights: Javier at reception was fantastic - so helpful! Carparking was very handy, being secure, on-site, and cheap. The bathroom was great, with exceptional water pressure.”
