Acogedor adosado en Maspalomas-Sonneland

There is no kettle and none would be provided, which is a shame and certainly uses more electricity heating up a pan of water each time. There is lovely hot water always available but the tank is small, in January forget about having a bath. Too little water. I run out of hot water using the shower when trying to wash my hair. The kitchen area could do with a total refurbishment.

Lack of basic amenities such as hand soap in the bathroom, dish soap and detergent - although I was offered the cost of buying them myself. The bed was extremely squeaky - not very comfortable. Thin walls, you could hear the neighbors (so they most likely can hear you too). The sliding glass doors were difficult to lock, it took a few days to figure it out.

Described as 2 bedroom, it’s not. Second bedroom is the enclosed balcony accessed via the main bedroom, no privacy for either room. Main bed is odd sized single beds pushed together, with no comfort whatsoever. Second bed is in fact a sofa bed held together with ply board and cable ties. We ended up having the sofa bed mattress on the single beds to give comfort. Our 3rd person ended up sleeping on the sofa using both sofa base cushions to provide comfort. Bathroom vents into enclosed balcony. Supposedly self catering apartment, selected as a member of our past has specific dietary requirements that are hard to manage otherwise. No kettle to make hot drinks. We ended up boiling pans of water. Limited crockery and cutlery, would have been impossible for 4 people. Fridge broken and wouldn’t keep food cold, ended up throwing in date food away as a result. Coffee pot corroded. Outside areas in pictures show sun beds. No sun beds. On day 2 if we could have sourced alternative accommodation in the Maspalomas area at a reasonable price (up to 3x cost of this apartment) we would have moved. Unfortunately it wad Winter Pride week and everything local was jacked up in price to reflect the demand. We booked this accommodation based on reviews. Unclear what others saw in this property. It’s awful and would not revisit if it was given to us free of charge.

Facing on top step damaged and a trip hazard. Sliding door to bungalow appeared to lock, but could be pulled open. Therefore not secure. No additional waste bags provided
