The feeling of stepping into care when you first arrive. Our beautiful host welcomed us with such warmth that we were instantly at ease and made to feel at home. We had a beautiful view overlooking the sea at the back with stunning sunsets every evening. Our room had large amounts of storage for us to fully unpack and store our luggage out of sight so it felt like we were really able to settle in and enjoy a slower pacer of life. The weather was abnormally hot for the time of year, but so was England, and being on the coast with the windows fully open at night, feeling safe and secure in the location meant that we were cooler than we would have been at home in the City. We made use of the kitchen as I am both vegan and coeliac so eating out in Zarautz wasn't easy, however the local supermarkets had a wonderful stash of supplies at really affordable prices, so we saved eating out at lunchtime for our many easy day trips to Bilbao and San Sebastian. I absolutely loved the host (and I'm so sorry I didn't write her name down so I could get the correct spelling and pronounciation), she was a joy to spend time with, and my pigeon Spanish/more fluent Italian and occassional French words along with her much greater understanding of English, meant we used lots of expressive gestures and humour to communicate. She was also a complete angel when she found out I'd hurt my foot after slipping on some steps and helped with getting medical support and finding a pharmacy that was open on Sundays. Thank you so much and we will tell everyone about this beautiful place to stay.

A wonderful place that is right on the Camino trail at the entrance to Zarautz. A very nice, helpful hostess. The city center, supermarket, beach are within walking distance of about 15 minutes. Our room was very clean and bright. The beds are nice and comfortable. The bathroom with a shower is also comfortable. The room is compact, but very cozy and cute. Very nice and spacious kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need. There is everything here: a refrigerator, a microwave, a stove, various coffee makers, all utensils in large quantities. Cooking by yourself in this kitchen is a great pleasure! There are dining tables inside as well as on the patio. Everything is nice and homey. We will be happy to return to this house. Highly recommend it!
