Agradable apartamento a pie de calle-30 Min de SOL

Starting the shower takes bit of a practice and strenght but we got instructions and had no problem later.

- This apartment was infested with bed-bugs. My stay was 7 nights long and I wasn't bitten by bed-bugs for the first 4 nights (turns out, bed bugs only emerge to bite / draw blood when they need to). I was bitten on the 5th night and woke up to see a dead bug right next to me. I picked it up with a paper towel and threw it in the garbage. While picking it up, it ended up being crushed and a lot of blood being released. I found that unusual and googled images of this bug to discover that it was indeed the bed bug. I didn't panic, but over the course of the day, I started getting itchy all over my arms, legs and neck. The next week has been really uncomfortable to say that least. The toxins that the bed bugs inject you with while they draw your blood causes some severe histamine allergic reactions. This manifests in red colored boils (that itch constantly) in several areas of the body. It seems that I'm not allowed to attach photos here, but they would give you a better idea of what I suffered. - That very day, I found another accommodation (an apart-hotel) and moved 95% of my stuff out and slept elsewhere. I spent the next 2 days washing / drying all my clothing in water that is 60 degrees C or higher. - I informed the host about this (and also contacted booking.com) who refused to believe that it was indeed bed bugs. No one came to replace the bedding, etc and no form of compensation was offered. When I asked to refund the last night because I had officially completed the check out procedure a day before, they said it was too late. - The apartment was missing a lot of essentials - no washing powder / detergent, no toilet paper, no salt / pepper, oil / vinegar, etc. Asking for anything was met with a "no, you must buy it yourself" response. I had to buy everything myself. - The sofa was extremely uncomfortable and caused pain when sitting on it, making it useless - The TV is tiny, old and has very poor picture quality

The hosts were in contact a lot leading up to and during the stay. This at times felt overwhelming although I do understand the need to have good clear communication. The cleaner also turned up 10 minutes before we were due to leave which when doing a final check can be quite stressful. The oven was needlessly complicated to use although we did figure it out in the end. For the two of us, the apartment was a little small but we were able to make it work.
