The best

Beautiful, traditional Spanish buildings and surrounding gardens. Lovely pool area. Calm and quiet atmosphere. Delicious fresh breakfast. Really helpful staff - huge thanks to Maria for helping us with an earlier than planned departure.

To be improved

It’s not walkable to Portocolom as there’s no pedestrian path/pavement, so you do need to drive into town. However it’s not far at all.

“Old world charm with super comfortable beds and lovely big pool.”

The rooms were were in were bigger than expected and the aircon worked very well. We particularly enjoyed the little balcony. Breakfast was delicious. We had car trouble earlier in the day and the staff helped me to download an app to take taxis in the area. The room fridge was well stocked and we made ample use of it!

The best

I can’t recommend C’an Gaia enough! The historic hotel is in beautiful surroundings, so pretty and tranquil. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. There is a lovely pool with comfortable sun beds and we were often the only guests using it. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice and it is possible to order freshly cooked eggs and bacon from the kitchen. The staff kindly provided us with breakfast in our room on the last day as we had to leave early. There are plenty of nice restaurants within a 5 minute drive either in Portocolom or in the nearby village of S’Horta.

The salty bathroom water, but a very small issue!
