We booked an agriturismo for the contact with the animals: that was disapointing: we only saw turtles Very close to the airport: noise from the planes The small road towards the farm could cause problems: you can not cross with two vehicules

“Amazing hosts, lovely holiday complex”

Amazing welcome from the hosts, we arrive on an early morning flight and they invited us to breakfast and allowed us to have an early checkin, you could not hope for a nicer and more accommodating welcome. The room really comfortable, the beds were comfortable, the room was a good size and had everything you really needed including effective air-con The whole complex was very clean. There is a lovely laid back atmosphere. Because of the layout of the complex you had your own private space including patio and you rarely heard the other guests. The pool was a good size, and was warm and clean. There was an honesty bar, and the shared kitchen facilities were a real bonus. People had mentioned the noise from the airport - but whilst you could occasionally hear a plane take off it wasnt that noisy, but on the plus side because of the location there is no road noise, no street noise etc. The location meant it was super convenient to get to and from the airport. Local town had basic supermarket and restaurants, but the capital is only 15-20 minutes away and has pretty well everything you might need

This is a relatively minor issue!: The hire car company upgraded us to a larger vehicle (Golf sized) as they didn't have the small car we had hired, and so every trip down the (admittedly very beautiful) access road to the property had you worrying about the paintwork on the car because of the foliage. The road is lined on both sides by a stone wall and trees, but this would have been no issue if the tall grasses and bushes had been cut back - the car had front and rear parking sensors, but parking sensors can’t differentiate between grass or things hidden by the grass such as sharp bushes that can scratch the paint, or rocks that will puncture your tyres. A Fiat 500 should be fine, but anything Golf sized or bigger would struggle. That being said if they cut back the foliage this property would definitely be very high up my shortlist for a return trip to Menorca and if you have a small car then I would highly recommend the property even now.
