“Disappointed there was no restaurant open”

The size of the room, the beds, the gardens and breakfast were all good. The staff were friendly.

To be improved

The restaurant was closed and having spent all day in the car with 2 young children this was very frustrating as the local restaurant was very average.

Staff were useless. Didn’t open the gate when we arrived and left us out in the street until another guest let us in Took 20 minutes to register us in. When we asked about the restaurant we were told it wasn’t open. Couldn’t get anything to eat a the village was tiny so had to drive another 6 miles to find an open restaurant.

“Excellent rural accommodation”

The best

Our room was great and had a jacuzzi, which was also very good. The parking lot is large and spacious. The whole complex looks very nice. The rooms do not have a coffee machine, but we received a water kettle instead per request and we were satisfied.

To be improved

You only have two hours for breakfast, from 09:00 to 11:00 in the morning. The staff is not very friendly and we didn't feel welcome. Coffee is not available except during breakfast. We had to go to the bar across the street for an afternoon coffee. Internet is very slow. The beds were too soft. The location is not very accessible, and it is especially difficult to find a hotel at night. The staff does not answer questions via chat on booking.com, but only directly via e-mail. The reception was asking us via chat for the exact time of arrival, which is not known when you are on vacation.

Lovely peaceful location and property. Excellent breakfast. Very clean and comfortable room except for the temperature.

To be improved

Reception helped to point us to local restaurants, but no recommendations and not very friendly or helpful. Even when checking out, we waited while the receptionist was chatting for ages on a call. In the end we gave up and simply left the entry card on the desk. We couldn’t get the air con to work (no instructions) so opened the window, but due to a larger event at the same time, it was a bit noisy.
