Akquaaa Boutique Hotel

Very friendly staff, rooms are very good and we had an amazing seaview.

The four stars this hotel boasts seem to be solely for the view, because the rest of our experience was a significant letdown and certainly not up to a 4-star standard. The bathroom was noticeably worn and in need of a renovation. It felt tired and dated, which was disappointing. We decided to try the breakfast buffet, but it was very expensive for what was offered. The selection of cold cuts, cheese, and other toppings was surprisingly limited. To make matters worse, the coffee machine was out of order. We'd strongly recommend skipping the hotel breakfast and visiting the nearby bakery instead. It's much cheaper, and the quality and variety are far superior. Our attempt at having dinner at the hotel restaurant was equally frustrating. The waiters were not polite, and we had to ask multiple times just to get their attention and be served. To add to the poor service, the hotel staff actually advised us against visiting the old town. We decided to try our luck anyway and were so glad we did. The old town is very beautiful, with a fascinating history surrounding the old castle. It was baffling to receive such poor advice from the hotel. In summary, while the view from the hotel is lovely, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. The worn-out facilities, poor service, and bad recommendations only warrant a two-star rating from us.

Location was amazing. The staff were very attentive & professional. Special thank you to Cristina who was amazing pre checkin and also throughout our stay, she was friendly & very professional & welcoming. Thanks to Daniel & the young lady from Venezuela who took care of us in the restaurant & bar. Breakfast & coffee were lovely. Didn’t eat lunch/ dinner in the restaurant this time but would love to visit again and try lunch/ dinner next time.

I loved everything about this hotel! The location is amazing, right on the beach so I really made the most of being by the sea. You can go for a swim and be back in your air conditioned room within a minute! The staff is lovely, I got free upgrade to a sea-view room with a balcony and I absolutely loved it! Very comfy bed, silent air con, nice breakfast, lovely products in the bathroom - I can't wait to come back for a longer stay. Thank you all!
