Alameda, Conde de Torrejón

This is an economically priced apartment so don’t really like to complain but here are the downsides: 1. It’s on the 3rd floor and the steps are very steep. Do not book if your mobility is impaired in any way. 2. Not many towels; 2 bath, 1 hand. 3. Kitchen facilities are very basic if you want to cook (we didn’t!). 4. No air con in the furthest bedroom. This made it exceptionally hot in there. Also, the door to the balcony was locked from this bedroom which I thought was a shame as it means you can’t open to get any fresh air in there. 5. Lack of pillows. One long pillow for the double bed. 1 pillow for each of the single beds. There were cushions but there were too hard for me. 6. Lack of seating. One small sofa + 4 dining chairs and only 2 chairs on the balcony. Despite these details, the apartment was perfect for my friend and I for our short break. 😀

The apartment's layout is a bit weird, with two connecting rooms and a single connecting bathroom. Difficult for some privacy if you travel with friends: one room would need to be accessible from the terrace. Bath tub is extremely small, a bit uncomfortable. The stairs to get to the property are very uncomfortable (uneven stairs, lowered ceiling and more). Would replace at least two of the sofa beds to full on beds.

Infinite stairs to the 3rd floor which also are in a narrow path. There were leftovers in the fridge, I assume that from the previous guests. And the place was very dusty. We noticed because we always left our shoes at the entrance and our white socks were black after a few minutes in the apartment. Also the shower is broken which makes the experience just lame (and it is super cheap to repair, it seems they just don’t want to).
