Basic community dinner although a bit pricey compared to other albergue experineces; would like to have the offer of breakfast

“Not Ideal for Solo Female Travelers”
The best

Marcello welcomed me personally. I was able to wash and dry my clothes for €8. I slept very well. The bathroom and bed were clean. The surroundings weren’t perfect, but they were fine and felt cozy.

To be improved

I was present when the host sent a fellow pilgrim a very personal WhatsApp message after a shared evening. She responded politely, stating she was not interested. Subsequently, he sent additional messages that she experienced as upsetting. While this may have been a misunderstanding, the situation felt uncomfortable and inappropriate to me as a witness. It also negatively affected my own memory of that evening. In my view, this place may not be ideal for solo female travelers.

“Fabulous place fabulous host”
The best

Super host - warm, kind, welcoming and a camino veteran so he knows exactly what peregrinos need. I liked that the hostel was further into town so it was more rural. I relaxed in the hammock outside with a lovely view. Perfect. Plus was closer to the start the next morning.

“Marcello the owner is fantastic and the place great”
The best

Nice bunkbeds with curtains and loved we had a towel!! But the best is the owner Marcello who cooked a really nice italien pilgrim dinner for us!

To be improved

Perhaps 1 more toilet would be fine

“The dinner made by Marcello was perfect. I really enjoyed the multicultural time during the dinner. Felt like a small family. Had a nice time on the terrace in the hamac as well. Everything I needed after a long day on the Camino”
