Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Staff were friendly and attentive despite some initial confusion.
Charming farm stay with potential, needs improvements for winter.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although some may not have great views.
Remote location in nature, may be too isolated for some guests.
Fair value considering the remote experience, but could improve.
Limited amenities, no restaurant on-site, and minimal lighting.
“Come !”
Out of the town a bit - rustic vibes - drinks on hand - food ordered in - good night with new pilgrims - quality room
“Fire hazard, dirty and overcrowded hostel, run by people with awful attitudes”
Nothing
Where do I start? The place is a fire hazard.... 30 people in one room, upstairs in a wooden structure, and no fire alarms or fire plan to be found anywhere. The beds were dirty.... there was an old blood stain on my mattress cover. They give paper covers which don't fit the mattresses, and there are none for the pillows, so people had to put t-shirts and towels over the manky pillows. The top bunks are so close to the ceiling that you can touch the ceiling while lying in bed. There is one shower and 4 sockets for the 30 people. There is another "shower block" with 2 pathetic showers that the water is cold and dribbles down the wall. The locks don't work on the doors. The family are rude and dirty. There was a cat in the dormitory. I ordered dinner, which I was told would be in reception at 8:30. It was very late, but as the hostel is quite far from the town, I agreed to it. At 8:30 there was no sign of any dinner, at 8:45 I asked the owner who was irritated by my question and told me via a translator that I "must wait for dinner". I asked again at 9 and was told the same thing. At 9:15, I told her I wasn't waiting any longer and she was annoyed at me that I wouldn't wait any more. I have no idea what the delay was. I've stayed in some basic hostels, for €8-€12 per night, and they are definitely "no frills" but at least they were functional and safe. This was neighter. I'm no princess, and have staying in over 50 hostels in my Camino travels, and this was without a doubt the worst place I have ever stayed.
“Excelent service. Very polite and willing to help out as much as posible. A life saver, thank you so much! Awesome location, family farm environment. I highly recommend this place.”

“I would stay again!”
The property is 1 of a kind. It is the most memorable place I have ever been and will remember it fondly. They fed me even though I arrived after the kitchen had closed for lunch and that was wonderful!
It was Far from town and I didn’t realize it when I booked. If you’re doing the Camino maybe stay somewhere else…but you are missing something special here
“If you like something out of the ordinary, wonderful”
The location was magical, we had a wonderful double room with balcony, We met mavy different people, including camenio pilgrims, and school children . The site included a school farm, there were dogs, cats, horses, osteriches, chickens, rabbits, goats, peacocks and llamas. Inoai on reception was brilliant and soooo helpful. You could order in a delivered supper which was fine. Lots of secluded places to sit in the grounds.
If the mist was down it seemed to get to Alberque first, but that is Northen Spain, we went to the coast on those days which cleared sooner. The breakfast was VERY cheap, but not so good.
“Excellent stay, sooooo friendly.”
Everything! Our room was clean and so pretty, huge windows! All the animals on the farm made my heart so happy!
Nothing, everything was perfect.
