“A great place to stay in Portugalete”

The best

The extra touch of freshly brewed coffee and cake to have for breakfast when it wasn’t even included in the price. I also liked having an earlier check-in. It was lovely being able to leave my bag and head out exploring.

A basic Albergue. Great place to spend the night. The owners are helpful and the facilities clean and well managed.

To be improved

I think the only downside, and it's very very minor, but if the owner had a couple power strips for those bunks blocking outlets, it would be super helpful. But otherwise perfect.

“A nice albergue along the Camino del Norte”

The living room is the heart of this albergue, with rooms and facilities around it. It makes it really cozy and encourages the dialog with other pilgrims. The rooms are spacious, and it all was very clean.

The television on in the main room. Yuck! I don’t know whether it was a staff person who kept it on and watched it, but its loud noise interfered with socializing and peaceful eating.
