Albergue Folgueira

The Man at the front desk was rude and lazy. My grandmother waited for hours outside in the cold knocking on the front door, and he moved at a snails pace. He switched us over to a sister alburgue Casona de Ponte and didn't even offer a ride. She had to walk all the way to the other alburgue and was charged twice by both when it was the company that changed our rooms.

There was a lot of flies and so warm all day long

The bunkbeds were so close together for 4 people only 2 backpacks fit There was no soap in women’s bathroom…. I showed the woman, but no change

Manager was very bad in behaviour and attitude! See above on what we liked but turned out to leave a bad taste in our mouths from the Manager's message. Location and room was good and clean. As a couple, we especially liked the window enclave with a balcony with a little round table and two chairs provided. We thought it would be ideal to take our morning there for breakfast of tea and some biscuits, cheese and bread we bought from the Supermarket. However, the Manager's message on this matter left a bad taste in our mouth! He wanted to charge us for "eating in beds and clean up" obviously because he must have seen the food wrappings we thrown into the garbage can provided in the bathroom and he messaged us this ridiculous charge!

To crowded, female toilets only 2 and 2 showers, no facilities to hang up your washing
