“A home away from home”
We had a wonderful 2-night stay in a cosy, comfortable space that truly felt like a home from home. The location is perfect—tucked away for peace and quiet, yet just steps from the Old Town’s top restaurants, a short walk to the beach and a close walk to Gros neighbourhood. Ideal for a relaxing and convenient getaway. The free minibar drinks, hot beverages, air conditioning, rain shower and streaming services on the TV were thoughtful touches that made the stay more comfortable.
Check-in was unclear—we didn’t receive any instructions and had to press random buzzers until someone let us in. The hotel is part of a group, so it was hard to reach the right person, though we were later given a helpful contact number. Our room did have windows but it opened to a hectic looking small balcony from a neighbouring resident which we kept shut.

“Great accommodation!”
Great location for exploring San Sebastian, clean room exactly as described. Cute little balcony!
Parking was a little difficult, we went to the one that was recommended, but the gate wouldn't open as it was for residents only and you had to have a ticket.
“Cons: Walls pretty thin, neighbour's alarm kept going off every 10mins for about 40 mins and it felt like it was in our room.”

“This should fall under studio/pension and NOT a hotel. They should not lie about parking either”
The location. Picture shown here is apt 5 which is the only one that has room to walk around. See picture of diagram of entire Aldamar Pension.
This is NOT a hotel; it is a pension and should be priced as such with NO hotel amenities whatsoever. Had a difficult time finding entrance as it is a door where you have to ring the doorbell so they can buzz you in. We thought we were at the wrong place. Took the elevator anyway to ask where the hotel was . Found another door in front of elevator where you ring the doorbell again. As I pushed door, I nearly tripped as there was a step up. To the right was a desk where nice lady confirmed that this was the hotel. There is a hallway with 9 rooms which was the entire “hotel”.Our room was a tiny studio and the bed was uncomfortable. The a/c made noise all through the night and the bathroom is so tiny only one person can stay. The shower is a stall with sliding panels which don’t even close all the way. Booking.com should put this as a studio for rent and not a hotel. We picked this for supposedly having their own parking but they sent us to a public parking 10 minute walk away. Totally misrepresented hence we were VERY disappointed.
“This is a nice hotel close to the old town.”
This is a nicely located boutique hotel inside a larger apartment building on the edge of the historic district, next to the market. The rooms were clean, although ours was bit on the smaller side. It does have a balcony but it is not big enough to be used.
The beds were very hard. A pillow topper on the bed would go a long way to making it more comfortable. The coffee machine, which was nice to have, was located right outside our room and made a bit of noise when used.
