“Waste of money”
Just got back from a 3 night stay and I'm glad it was that short. First impression wasn't great as staff didn't even greet me until I said hello. On top of that unexpectedly told of a €10 fee for my wristband if I was to loose it which I've never heard of which had to be given in cash. This was pretty annoying for me especially as I was on a budget. The room at first seemed as pictured online but there were parts of the room I found quite strange such as the "safe" which had no handle at all. It was completely accessible to anyone. Also the door had no lock on the inside which as a solo traveller I found quite unsettling. The air-con didn't work and this caused little bugs to be attracted to the room. Luckily the beds were comfy and the shower was very powerful and a good temperature. My main issue was the food not only the lack of options but the taste. If you didn't come to meal times exactly when they started then the dishes would be half empty and not replaced. The food was so bland and same dishes of pasta, chips, pizza and stew. I decided to try the desserts but was put off upon finding a dead bug stuck in the cake. I attempted the pool one day but was so ice cold didn't bother after that. Overall I would not return here and wouldn't even use it as a last resort. Very disappointed and upset with my experience which was meant to be a relaxing solo break
“Great, but avoid the feaster football festival.”
A pristine clean hotel with wonderful staff. We were there for 8 nights from March 27th 2026. Our room was perhaps a little on the small side, but very comfortable with a splendid view over the sea, and the housekeeping was excellent. Our holiday overall was good, but after 2 days the hotel was besieged by young footballers, mostly aged between 9 and 18 years and remained so for the rest of our stay. These young folk were mostly well behaved but there were some undesirable consequences. Client care focused on the children; the choices of food changed appealing more to children than to adults, and also some cooking suffered as for example with the chips which being hurriedly cooked (to keep up with demand) in oil not hot enough, was sadly inedible. It was sometimes necessary to queue for a table and the ambience in the dining room was poor - more like being at a boy scout jamboree. I believe that the hotel was doing a good job providing for and caring for the football guests but consequently was unable to provide the appropriate service to its regular fee paying clients. I believe the hotel was during this particular time coping - just (no hot water one morning, and I advise anyone who plans to stay there to avoid the easter football "festival" is an annual event. Finally, we were blissfully unaware of all this when we booked through Thomas Cook, perhaps they did not know - not good. I would go again, but would most certainly heed my own advice!!
“Manoj at Algeria Maripins Malgret de mar Costa Brava 6.10.25 to 7.10.25”
Beautiful place, opposite the Beach, clean rooms with daily room service and bed sheets and towels change! Spacious rooms, we had 3rd floor sid sea view , amazing and excellent atmosphere. Reception staff, all staff and the breakfast selection is amazing. You have choice of white, red, rose embedded standard during breakfast 😆 Ample vegetarian n non veg options. The chef prepares fried eggs, omelette etc.. Fresh fruits, juices, gluten free drinks all available.. Amazing clean and friendly staff throughout the hotel. Everything nearby, supermarkets, local shops, bars, beach, train station to go Barcelona is appox 10 min walk.. trains from Malgret Der Mar to Barcelona every 30min.. 22euro return.. takes about 1hr 10min to Barcelona. On the whole I would definitely recommend thus hotel to anyone.. as nearby all amenities
“Good value for money”
Pleasantly surprised due to previous reviews. Spacious room and very clean. All inclusive was amazing value for money. Felt a bit uncomfortable ordering drinks on occasion. Preferred it when the young lad and young girls or lady were serving our drinks. Dining room staff amazing nothing too much trouble even when another guest dropped her drink they took care of it with a smile on their faces. Check out was 11 and was pleasantly surprised we could still have lunch due to our arrival time fully expecting to have to relinquish our wrist bands at check out. Reception staff very helpful. Would definitely visit again. Excellent value for money. Room 332 👍

“Group Booking”
Stayed here for 3 nights for my friends Hen do, we were all inclusive. Arrived at 4am, no offer of water or any food upon arrival, we weren't allocated rooms next to each other and reception would not move us. Room was clean and tidy, plenty of space, small fridge in room but powers off when key removed. Food was varied, although sometimes not very hot, drinks only available from bar in restaurant, no self serve option. Bar staff were friendly, 3x cocktails included in AI, others were half price. Quiet music around the pool, very grumpy pool attendant, did not like us moving sunbeds (just following sun) unable to use inflatables and placed tables next to loungers just to be difficult. We were a group of 9 but not too rowdy and we respectfully tidied up and placed loungers back when leaving the pool area. We grabbed towels and an iron from reception - 10 euro deposit. The hotel was super clean, entertainment was good, definitely need more seating outside of an evening, lots of people using sun loungers as seats. Good location, shop adjacent to hotel is lovely (elena) the staff are so friendly and items good quality. Huge shout out to the Frog bar! Great staff/ vibe! If flying to Barcelona the transfer takes 2hours!
