Almanac Barcelona

Perfect stay from start to finish. The service was exceptional, the food and drinks were fantastic, and the team made the experience feel very personal with thoughtful touches throughout. 10/10, would highly recommend to everyone.

Staff were very welcome. Location is excellent. Room was spacious and elegant. Mini bar was packed with exquisite drinks. Rooftop bar views were amazing. Will definitely stay here again

Amazing rooms, staff and stay. Excellent luxury hotel. Perfectly located close to shopping, attractions, restaurants and Metro. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel special. Will stay here again if we return to Barcelona.

We just came back from a family vacation from Barcelona & had a wonderful stay at the Almanac. The hotel is in a great neighborhood & centrally located. The room was comfortable (bed was a bit hard) but overall wonderful. The staff is amazing! They were super friendly & very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

From the moment we arrived in the Almanac, we were treated so well. The staff are friendly, efficient and so well trained for their job. The hotel itself is beautiful--spotlessly clean, quiet (despite being on a busy central street) and you get the most fabulous view of Barcelona from the rooftop bar. We spent 4 wonderful days there and we're missing it!

Recently stayed at Almanac Barcelona. Staff, especialy front desk and bell staff, were very friendly and helpful. When I arrived by car, they were right there to take my bags and offered a complementary cava! The reception and bell staff were extememly efficient and helpful throughout. I had an 'early check in if available' and was told around 11:30 that my room would be ready in about 40 minutes, so decided to wait rather than leave my bags and get a late breakfast (hadn't yet eaten that day) or do something. But, an hour later the room was still not ready and it was about an hour and a half before I was in the room. This was time wasted. I would have preferred to be told to come back in a few hours instead of waiting the entire time in the lobby. Room was very nice, spacious and elegantly designed, but the shower is a rain shower or hand held only. No way to mount the hand held so you can shower without getting your hair wet which means you always have to be holding the sprayer with one hand. I do run into this occasionally at hotels, but luckily not that often. At the restaurant Virens, breakfast was excellent, but dinner was disappointing. The menu is a bit fussy and mostly plant based and high carb--the rice-based bowls are over EUR 30 and are not-pallela and not-risotto but basically rice with some very small morsels of meat and some veg, depending on what you order. The flavors were nice but it seems wildly overpriced for what it is, and few other options for those of us who watch their carb intake. On the plus side our server recommended a very nice wine which was well priced. Service was good.
