location was very comfortable i didn't use breakfast service

The breakfast could have been better. The location was perfect.

While the hotel is in a great location and has great sized rooms this was a very unfortunately eventful stay. Within minutes of checking in my girlfriend’s phone was stolen by pickpockets while waiting for the elevator to go upstairs to our room. The hotel was basically unable to help us and refused to look at security footage until we had filed a police report. 15 mins later we got a call from the hotel that a staff member had “found” the phone on a stairway we didn’t go on and the phone was returned missing the SIM card and the hotel staff saying “it was strange”. The power has also gone out and even 30 minutes after the power was on, WiFi was still out. The fire alarm was set off during our stay as well, with little communication from the staff as to what was going on.

The rooms are modern and renovated but a small size. I did not find the mattress very comfortable. Everything worked in the room. The shower was a nice size and a walk-in. So it was easy to use. The buffet breakfast was a very good continental breakfast. They had nice pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, smoked salmon, carpaccio, coffee, tea, toast, etc. The hotel was in a good location.

We arrived in Madrid after a sleepless overnight flight from Dallas. We were delighted when the kind staff let us check in early (about 11 am) so we could get some sleep. No sooner had we showered and hit the bed--the fire alarm went off. We trudged downstairs to find that this was due to "work being done" on the system. Unfortunately, the alarm co ti yes to go off about every 15 minutes for hours. We ended up stumbling around town u til returning at 5 pm, when there was blessed silence. The very sweet and kind staff, especially Natalie, were very apologetic and did what they could to make amends. They sent us a note and some treats, and comped two days of (very good) breakfasts. The room itself was clean and well-appointed with good housekeeping. We would definitely return to this hotel, which is in a terrific location and has an excellent staff. We only give four stars because we were psychotic from sleep deprivation that first day. It won't happen to you!

The hotel is in a great location, a short walk from the main square, cathedral, and palace. We were bummed the rooftop pool was closed as it’s hot in August, but we were only there 1 night (there are also tons of rooftop bars on Gran Via). The staff were very friendly and helpful (we arrived at 6am and messaged ahead that we were arriving super early, and they actually had a room ready for us! Being able to check in was an amazing help with the travel jet lag!!). The bed was comfy and the water pressure was great.
