Parking was a "doable" challenge.

Bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs.

Second impressions were worse than first inpressions: 1. There was nowhere to hang our coats (this was January and due to the wide temperature at different hours of the day, we used two coats each). They tended to end up on the sofa. As this had slippery upholstery, the coats tended to slip onto the floor. Surely a well designed flat can run to proper coat pegs? 2. The bedroom wardrobe was almost comically stupid. To open the drawers in the righthand part, you had to open the rightmost door, which required you to move the bedside table. Even then, the drawers didn’t open easily because they collided with the inside edge of the door (which couldn’t open any wider) and had to be wrestled sideways. If the drawers had been in the lefthand half of the wardrobe, which had one shelf with a large empty space underneath, they would have worked fine. 3. After using the washing machine, we never found out how to get the clothes rack to self-support; we had to fasten one end to the stair rail, block the other end against the table and block the legs with water bottles. Rather a sloppy contrast with the chic marble floors and stairs!
