“A safe haven during blackout”

The best

It was the Spanish blackout 2025 04 28, and we found our accommodation only thanks to the local Setenil police. The police found the owner and brought him to us. The owner guided us to the only still working restaurant in the city so we could have a dinner. Was kind. I really liked how the bed was made (tidy and cute purple towels, flowers). A cosy bedroom. Super quiet rural spot. Felt safe even if it was 2 km away from Setenil through a village road. Even during blackout we had a strong led light outdoors so we spend some evening hours outside on the bench of our Cabanjo. Great kitchen facilities (could make both coffee and tea with a simple machine). There were a few kind Spanish people living in two houses nearby and they helped us with Spanish with the owner.

To be improved

The problem was that when we arrived to the place noone waited for us there. Perhaps because it was blackout and the owner might have thought we will not be coming as we were several hours late. As the connection ended earlier we also did not get access to the keys of the place. But as the owner was found in the city he let us in himself. Little water in the shower and no lights on as there was the blackout.
