“Great value for a small, central apartment.”

It is a cute, small, older apartment but has everything we need. The bed is very comfortable, the street is quiet, and we easily walked into the centre of town. The 'Great Spain/Portugal Power Outage' occurred the day we arrived - the host was absolutely unable to communicate with us during the day regarding check in but we had indicated an approximate arrival time and she made sure she was here to greet us - she waited to make sure we were able to get in!! And was so apologetic that there would be no wifi or electricity even though it was obviously not her fault. Fantastic service! Our stay was comfortable despite the disruption.

The apartment is very clean and nice.

To be improved

Check in is very difficult and takes us for hours. The owner didn’t answer phone calls and didn’t show up. We found her through her neighbor finally. With the long waiting time, we missed our trip to the mountain hill.

“8 days of staying in Arcos.”

The best

I travelled with my friend, and we loved that the sofa was a pull-out. The apartment itself was really cosy and convenient, and it seemed more spacious than it actually was. The neighbours were friendly and welcoming people, and the location in itself was superb.

To be improved

There are only a few downsides... The locks on the apartment doors were a bit faulty but still locked and unlocked(with a bit of practice); We had a little trouble with the AC that dripped and made puddles if we turned it to the minimum but if you stay at 23°/24° you'll be fine + the owners were quick to help us with the problem; There's no washing machine in the apartment but the closest laundromat "IWASH" is only +-15minutes of a walk and has clearcut instructions as in spanish, so in english.
