“Overall a nice place”
Alba was friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable, kitchen well stocked with pans, utensils, cups, plates, etc., apartment was clean, it was very quiet (except for the people playing basketball on a nearby roof sometimes). It's nice to hear (and see) all the birds. I LOVED the quick access (via the archway at Puerta de San Juan) down to the walking paths along the river, which you can see from the apartment. I would stay in this location again or in another building managed by Alba, but I think I would opt for a different apartment next time due to the reservations I have about some features of the attic one.
The placement of the windows in the attic apartment is such that you can't see out any windows when seated. You have to stand up and walk over to the window to look out. (The view IS amazing when you ARE standing at the window to look out.) While I stayed there, I needed to work a few hours on the laptop every day, and it felt a bit like being in a cave because I couldn't glance out any windows as I worked. If you're exploring Cuenca and will be out all day and not working there, this would not be an issue. The terrace has a beautiful view, but there are no chairs out there and no shade. My friend and I took kitchen chairs out there one evening, but it's not a place you can enjoy spending time in easily. In the main part of the terrace, if you are sitting in chairs, you can't even see the view because of the wall. When you need groceries, if you're on foot, it's quite a hike from the newer city back up the hill and then into this top-floor apartment (not really an issue for shorter stays or if you have a car or were to take the bus). When it's really hot out, the AC didn't get the place to a comfortable temperature. The limit is 16 degrees on the remote controller, which should be fine, but it didn't seem to actually cool the room to that temperature. The temperature did drop enough at night to be able to sleep well, though.

Excellent location in the old town. The house overlooked the Easter celebration parade which was magical!
