“Really unique property in a great location!”

The best

-very helpful staff at Vero. The host was very attentive on the phone when we had to ring regarding access to the garage. And we also had some problems opening the door to the property (rest assured, it’s easy when you know how, there’s just a technique to it!), but the cleaner came very very quickly and was so lovely and let us straight into the property. -very unique and quaint property! Absolutely adore the “cave” like architecture. It is such a beautifully designed and well furnished property. It really reflects the wider vibe and architecture of the rest of Altea. -the sofa is so comfy!!!!! It was a great living room to relax in at the end of the day of exploring Altea! -well equipped kitchen with everything we needed for a few days. Fridge for storing snacks, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery, dinnerware, and a hob with pans! -very big television with an array of pre paid channels for us to use was a nice touch. -complimentary wine and water was very kind of the host. -located in a very desirable location. In a very quiet neighbourhood, and just around the corner from an array of small, local, independent businesses. The supermarket is also in close proximity. It is also not a far walk down to the sea front, as well as many bars and restaurants along the way. -the shower is very cool! Lovely natural stone, and not something I’ve ever seen before. The water pressure and temperature was also perfect! -brilliantly air conditioned!!! There is an air conditioning unit which can be left on at all times. There was also a big fan in the bedroom, and a big fan in the living room which could be moved around to where we needed it. The dehumidifier was also a very helpful addition in maintaining the coolness of the room. Very impressed by this!!! -having a free parking space in a secure garage courtesy of the host was a big bonus! It is not far at all from the property and is very easy to use- ideal for our rental vehicle. -Great to have mosquito nets on the windows.

To be improved

-there is a lack of storage in the bedroom. There is limited space due to the architecture of the natural stone creeping its way into the floor space, however there is only a very small wardrobe, shallow bedside table drawers and a clothes horse. This was not enough room for both mine and my partners clothes, so we had to live half out of a suitcase. -the floor was quite mucky. There was a lot of dust that gathered on our feet from the floor. I don’t know whether this just may be due to the stone in the property which will have some loose sediment. -I noticed quite a few cobwebs around the place, and some were also homing spiders. Easily missed, but their removal would discourage other spider guests. -there were some black long hairs on the stone walls surrounding the shower. -there is no extractor fan in the bathroom, this can make it quite wet and very warm. The amount of moisture in the bathroom also made the bathroom quite smelly by the end of our stay. -the bathroom was smaller than expected, however nothing can be done about that, just worth a mention as the photos are a little deceiving. -there was no bathroom bin. This would be particularly essential in disposing of menstrual products, it’s not pleasant having to put them in the kitchen bin.

“A stunning location, well equipped apartment full of character”

The best

Beautiful comfortable and characterful apartment in a wonderful location close to the main square in the old town. Very well equipped, a good choice of restaurants nearby and lovely views outside the property.

Beautiful property with lovely character and charm. Very clean and included all that you’d require for a stay.

To be improved

The incredibly noisy neighbours upstairs - talking/shouting very loudly at one another a lot of the time and woke us up before 7am on both mornings (we had to leave one day early because of the lack of restful time when the neighbours were upstairs).
