“A good hostel overall, would go again”

The best

It is a small hostel with a nice common area and a calm environment. It is well organized, and the kitchen is just ok (not super complete, but it did provide oil, sugar, salt, etc. Great!). The free cookies and tea/coffee is a very nice touch. It was a great location, close to everything and with many gastronomic options nearby.

To be improved

I think this hostel could be a 10 if they did a few things to improve the bathrooms. The showers have no curtain and no hanger so you have to improvise to prevent your stuff from getting wet. Also a curtain in the beds would be nice, but overall it is a good hostel.

“This is by no means a luxurious stay, but it is incredibly clean, comfortable and has a great location. But above all that, the staff was beyond fantastic. I had been scammed at another hostel and called this hostel in the middle of the night and they welcomed me with open arms. The young man that works there even met me outside on the street and walked me to the hostel when I had trouble finding the door. The next day there was a young woman working there that made me feel so welcomed and happy that I even decided to book another night there instead of a hotel I had previously booked. The same young girl was there when I checked in remembered me and said “welcome home”. I’ve never felt more comfortable in any hostel in my 36 years on this planet and I will book this place every time I return to Barcelona.”

“Awful and Never Again”

Location is excellent, and staff is really friendly. I like the guys but pretty sure they feel working there is like a punishment. And basically that's the only good thing, the staff.

To be improved

Rooms are really poor. It's basically a house with bunk beds. Dirty sheets and pillows. Beds are really uncomfortable. Super small for the amount of people they host. Bathrooms Dirty. When you arrive, they make you sign a document with the "rules" of the house, plus a € 20 deposit they give back to you at the end of your stay. That should have been the warning I needed to run out of it, but I was just tired and needed a place. Plus, they already charged my card online. They let in anyone. First night, and I was already feeling some of the guests could be real thieves. The feeling of being unsafe was predominant.
