“Never again. Defenitly not worth 4stars”
After working 15years in hotels, this is defenitly not 4stars. Except for the decent size TV, rooms are very basic, but yes, clean. An elevator capacity for a 5 floor building, covering 10 floors. The time you spend just to get to your room... Restaurant, complete chaos. As for breakfast as for dinner. If you're lucky you find a table without dirty dishes on. Many clients look lost when entering the restaurant and nobody to guide/explain or help them, because their just too busy (not their fault). Never saw a director or subdirector around, as I'm used to in other 4star hotels. Went to reception to ask a blanket for the babybed, never arrived. Conclusion....was a first and a last.
“English aren’t welcome by other guests 😂”
We stayed here recently and honestly, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. The cleanliness was unacceptable — the hotel felt consistently dusty, both in the rooms and communal areas. Our allergies were noticeably worse whenever we were inside, but completely cleared when we left the hotel or went to the beach, which says a lot about the environment. The lifts were a nightmare. We were staying on the 10th floor while the bar and restaurant were on the ground floor, and there are far too few lifts for the number of guests. This meant long waits every single time, often with overcrowded lifts, making something as simple as getting food or a drink frustrating and time-consuming. The all-inclusive experience was extremely poor. The bar was constantly overcrowded with long queues, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for all-inclusive. The food was repetitive each day and low quality. Breakfast was particularly disappointing — often barely warm and not enjoyable. Basic amenities were also lacking. There was no caffeinated coffee provided in the room, and on multiple occasions the guest toilets had no toilet roll, which is simply unacceptable for any hotel. The overall atmosphere was also unpleasant at times due to inconsiderate behaviour from other guests in shared spaces, making it difficult to relax. What’s most concerning is that this stay was during what is considered a quieter winter period. It’s hard to imagine how the hotel would cope during peak summer months if this is the standard when it’s less busy. Overall, this hotel does not meet even basic standards we would expect, let alone what is advertised. We would not return and would not recommend it to others. Given the number of issues experienced during our stay, we feel this represents extremely poor value for money and would welcome the opportunity for the hotel to address these concerns directly.
“I don't recommend.”
Our room was dirty. We had to ask for additionaly cleaning. The dishes were dirty too. Horrible. The food wasn't good. This hotel is for thousand people, it has ten floors, but only with four lifts. The pool is very small for so many people. Also a few sunbeds too. And none on the beach. The whole holiday was saved by the beautiful sea and our trips. I don't recommend.
“Worst experience of a hotel I have ever known”
I hope this can be seen by the Spanish tourist board about how my family and myself were treated at this hotel. The Spanish people appeared to be treated with a lot more curtesy and manners by the staff than us the people from Britain. I am a coach driver in London and I treat people as I find them treating all nationalities courteously. Any time you asked for something the answer was no straight away with no explanation. If the wrong staff is in that hotel then all you are going to get is bad reviews. The staff should be helpful, courteous and polite to everyone. My last day at the hotel we checked out of the hotel at 12 md. I went down to the bar at the pool area at 1pm to ask for a coffee for my sister and myself and the answer was “no” even though I offered to pay for them. I told the barman that he was not very obliging and quite rude, to which he replied “ see you next year” . I responded “you won’t see me next year”. He replied with “that’s good”. I went to reception and told the staff member there that the bar man was very rude and she replied “ I know”. This will not do your business or reputation any good.
“Avoid This Hotel - Rude Staff, Poor Food & Service, and Damp Rooms”
We stayed at this hotel for my sister and her partner’s wedding, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. When they visited in May, they were reassured that all expectations would be met and that the hotel could accommodate their requests in full. They were even promised that the hotel would remain open until 12th October to cover the full duration of the wedding celebrations. However, just weeks before we were due to fly to La Manga, we were informed that the hotel would close on 5th October, leaving us to arrange alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that staff were far more accommodating towards Spanish guests and showed very little effort to assist English-speaking visitors. Communication was poor, and staff made little attempt to help. We were simply handed our room keys and had to swap rooms amongst ourselves to meet the needs we had already explained to the hotel in advance. From that point on, staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and at times outright rude. On the morning of the wedding, we asked if we could bring some pastries to the bridal suite for breakfast and were bluntly told “no.” When we asked if we could order room service instead, the response was again “no,” with no alternatives or assistance offered—forcing the bride to go down to breakfast on her wedding morning. The rooms themselves were of poor quality with extremely thin walls — we could hear every sound from neighbouring rooms, even someone coughing or sneezing. My room in particular had damp and mould in it - in the bedroom and bathroom. The lift service was also very poor, often requiring us to wait between five and ten minutes for one lift to arrive, despite there being around eight in total. This became especially frustrating given the number of guests staying in the hotel. Additionally, there is very little to do in the surrounding area. Aside from a small local pizzeria and a shop about a four-minute walk away to pick up necessities, there isn’t much nearby. The area is, however, very quiet — which may suit some, but it also adds to the feeling of isolation if you’re expecting more amenities or entertainment close by. One guest raised concerns about the rude behaviour of staff, only to be met with a dismissive “I know” and no apology. Another told bar staff they would not be returning, and their response was “thank god”, followed by a look of disgust. The hotel also hosted events (such as dance functions) during our stay, without informing guests in advance, causing further disruption. Between the wedding party, we had 40–45 rooms booked across both all-inclusive and bed-and-breakfast options, and yet the level of customer service was appalling. The couple had been promised in May that we would have a reserved space by the pool bar for the day after the wedding to celebrate with some decorations and drinks. On the day, staff complained about the minimal decorations — a small “Just Married” banner, some confetti, and balloons. We were even denied the use of a knife to cut the remaining wedding cake because it was “not from the hotel,” and only after insisting were we reluctantly given one. For a group of this size, providing such significant business, the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy from staff was disgraceful. It was evident that because the hotel was closing that week, staff simply did not care. The only positives were the beautiful view and the proximity to the beach, but that alone does not make up for the poor service and complete disregard for guests. Unless you are a local guest, I would strongly advise against staying here.
“Do not waste your money”
Avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed here with all of our friends and family (about 40 rooms in total) after this hotel was recommended to us. This was the nearest hotel to our wedding venue so location was ideal. We had visited the hotel in May to speak to the manager to run through everything and was reassured that they would be able to accommodate all our needs and meet our requirements. To begin with at check in, we were poorly greeted and handed our room keys to then have to swap between ourselves to accommodate the needs of the bridal party despite prior explanation of this. The staff on reception were not helpful and looked at us blankly with no assistance here. We were informed in May that the immediate family who were checking in on the first day (6 rooms) would receive a complimentary room upgrade all on the same floor - this did not happen and we were split between two floors. Secondly, on the morning of the wedding, me being the bride along with my bridesmaids were scheduled for hair and makeup 7:00am start. My sister went to reception and asked if we could bring some breakfast/ pastries up to the room in order for the bridal party to eat. We were met with a simple “no” to which we then asked for room service - again “no” with no alternative solution. This meant I had to go down to breakfast with the risk of seeing my husband to be and all family attending the wedding. I’m not sure how this hotel can be classed as four star yet has such poor customer service and does not offer room service. The room walls are extremely thin to the point you can hear someone sneeze, the food was of poor quality, leaving us to have to re-heat meals in the microwaves and the staff were ignorant and rude. The standard of customer service provided to British tourists vs Spanish tourists were worlds apart and the staff on numerous occasions turned their noses up at us and made asking questions extremely difficult. In May, we were promised that we would have an area reserved by the pool free of charge where we could have some decorations and drinks for the evening after the wedding with all of our family. However, on the day, we put minor decorations up - a small “just married” sign, some confetti, and balloons - the staff were filming the decorations and looked at us in disgust and informed us this was not allowed. I also asked for a knife to cut the remainder of our wedding cake to which I was told “no” as the cake was not from the hotel. After some back and forth, I was reluctantly provided with a knife. It seems as though there was no communication between the manager and the staff as to what promises were made. The manager Elia was informed that her staff were rude and she simply responded with “I know” with no apology or query as to why we thought so. In May we were also assured that the hotel would remain open until 12th October which would have been after all the wedding party was leaving. However, a matter of weeks before we were meant to travel to La Manga, we were informed that the hotel would instead close on 5th October, meaning we had to find alternative accommodation for ourselves for the remainder of our stay past this date. The hotel also host large events such as dance competitions with loud music with no warning to guests. This caused a huge disruption to not only ours, but everyone’s stay as it had a knock on effect in the buffet, availability to sun loungers in the day, and disturbance to the relaxation throughout the day. To wrap up, please note that there much better hotels in this area to stay. Do not waste your money on AluaSun Doblemar.
