“Basic accomodation”

This isn't a hotel, it is a single floor of a building that has been converted into rooms. If you are looking for a hotel experience this is not the place to book. Our experience was mediocre. We booked the "hotel" because it had good reviews. This is not a hotel, so be careful when booking. Arrival after 10 pm is charged additionally. We knew that but we arrived at 10:02 and they charged the difference of 20 euros. I hope you won't get room no. 3. The room is ok in size, but the bathroom is very small, but that wouldn't be a problem if the layout was different. You can barely walk between the sink and the shower. The room has a very nice ceiling, but I don't know who that crazy person is (I don't know what else to call a person) who allowed such a ceiling to be destroyed because it used to be a big room that was divided in half with a plaster board. There is no sound insulation in that plaster wall, because if there was, we certainly wouldn't have heard the neighboring guests. WE'VE HEARD THEM ALL. If I tell you everything, then I mean everything, when they were in the toilet, when they were opening the closet, when they were talking and when they were having sex (we have nothing against that) but just so you know that there is no privacy here! The noise was outside because you are on the main road and the noise is terrible and even worse inside the ''hotel''. You have the option to leave your luggage at the ''hotel'' and that is a great option. They are located on the main street Gran Via and about 800m from Pl. Catalunya. The location was very good for us. This ''hotel'' would have much more potential if it was arranged in the right way. The quality would immediately increase and the rest of the guests would be satisfied.

“We'd stay there again.”

Nice place to stay. Good location. Near transportation restaurants, and groceries Clean. Key card entry worked well. Room a bit small, but plenty of space around hotel, even a courtyard. Sometimes we wished there was someone at the desk all the time, mostly for small things. Rafa and Francesco were very accommodating. We'd stay there again.

“Location was perfect and I loved the terrace · Cons: Very bad light, especially in the bathroom. Water from the faucet very slow. The hotel is beautiful but quite dated, it could use some renovations. Check in also too complicated. We arrived at 16 and had to wait because there was another check in at the same time at a different hotel owned by the same company 10 minutes away. Perhaps not a big deal but inconvenient”

“My stay at the Amra could not have been better. The staff is kind, engaging, and helpful. My room was exactly what I was hoping for as a solo traveler - comfy bed, nespresso, private balcony overlooking gran via, soundproof balcony doors, clean room every day when I came back, and the sweet patio out back for relaxing and taking in the local neighborhood. If you want quiet and authentic, this is the place for you. 10/10 recommend.”
