Although it's a short walk to the beach, there is a steep hill you have to climb to get to the apartment. Fine if you're young, not so good if you're elderly or pregnant, as my wife was. And although the apartment is well equipped, everything is quite old and tired. The pedal bin didn't work, the oven didn't cook properly, the frying pan handle was falling off and the microwave had a strange smell in it. The toilet seat was was hanging off so it was uncomfortable and there was a lack of light in the bedroom, making it hard to get ready when going out in the evening. ...However, the thing that was really bad for us was that the hosts sent instructions at the last minute to pick up keys up from somewhere that wasn't near the property. The instructions came in a string of whatsapp messages with links, videos and photographs. Forms had to be filled out before we were given a code to get the keys, all of which we had to do mid cab journey, so it felt like a puzzle we had to try and unpick - it resulted in a very confusing and over priced cab drive with a taxi driver that couldn't work out where we were supposed to know. It's not what you want or need at the beginning of a holiday after a tiring journey that had started at 4am in the morning and when your wife is pregnant. We complained and explained our position but there was no apology.
