Apartamento 6 Mirasierras

Very clean and great location had enough room and bed for my family after a long flight.

Host was excellent, lot's of contact and information before check in and met me there to hand over keys. Not much English spoken but lovely man and we had enough between my Spanish, his English and some hand signing to get us through! A great apartment and lots of room for 3 adults. all rooms had double beds which is a great plus. About a 10 minute walk, if that, to the nearest metro station which is Usera. So, so easy to get to and to get in and out of central Madrid, yet giving you more space and quieter than being in the centre. A small selection of shops and bars at metro station, and a wee football stadium further up the street but you cant hear it unless right by it and it's nice to hear the game on Saturday as walking by. All the beds were comfy, I like a firm mattress so suited me and no complaints from colleagues either but if you like a soft bed then you may not be so keen. Wi-Fi worked perfectly and easily. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because I couldn't find a kettle...perhaps there was one there and I missed it and because as a review mentioned before me the showerhead is a little wobbly and it is tuned up so you have to remember to swizzle it round so it faces down before turning it on else the ceiling could get sprayed, and also if you do that and turn up the pressure too high on the shower it fires it up the wall again. This was easily sussed out upon first use and didn't stop us all having great shower but a simple second screw in the shower fitting that holds the head would eliminate these issues. The bathroom itself was clean and had towels, toilet roll, hand soap and shower gel so had all you needed to get going. The real gem about this lovely apartment though is the outdoor space which is virtually impossible to get. It is a sun trap and had lots of eating/seating arrangements and a beautiful tree in the centre to provide some shade.

The house is spacious with three large bedrooms and a large sofa-bed in the living room. It would be ideal for a family or large group. The metro, Usera, is not far. The largest shopping mall Plaza Rio 2, China-Town, and many supermarkets are within 15-25 minutes walk.
