The host never sent any check-in instructions. When we arrived in the city, there was a blackout, and we couldn’t reach her. Only at 2 AM, when the electricity returned, were we able to find an emergency place to stay for the night, completely on our own. The next morning, we made multiple attempts to call her, but her phone was still off. We had no choice but to extend our hotel stay to avoid being stranded. She finally answered around 11 AM and acted as if she had forgotten about our reservation. Even then, she still provided no instructions or assistance. This is completely irresponsible. A host expecting guests should ensure they can be reached and provide clear communication in advance. Refusing to issue a refund after leaving us with no way to check in is unacceptable. Booking.com was also unable to offer any support. I strongly advise against booking this property.

The address is incorrectly listed which resulted in us being almost 1km away from the actual location, with baggage in tow. We were only given the correct building number after the check in time on contacting the host by phone, having received no clarifying information to that point. We walked almost 2km unnecessarily and wasted around 40 minutes as a result. On departure booking.com is still displaying the incorrect address which it plots in maps locally and in google, well away from the actual location - which is much better than that indicated.

No kettle! We’re British so used to a kettle to make a nice cup of tea!
