“Complicated self check in, garage risky for big cars”

Although automatic self check-in can be useful at places, it also can be complicated, especially when there are 3 different keys involved and the host has to open the door remotely which he will only do (of course) when you can honestly guarantee your are on the exact right door on the exact right floor in the exact right building. The door will not automatically close, so a bit of stress was obvious. The appartement was ok, the balcony only had sun in the morning, no spectacular views and the distance to the beach was a 30 minute walk. There is a parking garage under the building, but the entrance is strangely obstructed by a pillar, and we do not recommend this for bigger sized cars. Even with sensors all around at a speed of a snail, I found it risky and I am not sure I came out without a scratch. U

The two bed apartment had everything we could possibly need. Very very spacious, clean with two bathrooms plenty of tables and chairs if needed. Nice Glasses in a cabinet for wine, vodka etc. Kitchen was extremely well equipped but we only used the fridge *_* Dishwasher, Washing machine if needed. For us it was a 20 minute walk to the city centre and all the great resteraunts and 30 minutes to the Waterfront. All in all a great apartment, great location

The property had 2 good size bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which was ideal for 2 couples travelling. The kitchen he was fully functioning with all the utensils you could need. Very clean and well equipped Underground secure parking

To be improved

The only thing that was missing was a kettle to make a cup of tea but that probably an English thing. used a saucepan instead.

The lady who cleaned the appartment was friendly. Location of the appartment was good.

Upon arrival in the middle of the night we were unable to check in due to a misunderstanding of the owner about our arrival and check in time, despite us having double-checked it with him upon booking. This caused a conflict. We were standing on the street in the middle of the night, having to find a hotel room. The owner refused to compensate us for the night in the hotel. The owner did not acknowledge his error and did not want to compensate us for the expenses we made, even though we had evidence of the confirmed booking and check in time during the night - according to his own rules. Booking helped us resolve, they said we were correct as per booking confirmation - then the owner compensated 50% of the hotel invoice. It caused us a lot of stress to arrive in the night with our kids, being unable to check in and then also having to deal with this conflict of reimbursement during our family holiday. Beds were not great, my husband and I couldn’t sleep well on it during our stay. Never again.
