Apartamento Almendro

When we arrived, the flat was full of flies — clearly a known issue, as a large can of bug spray was left prominently on the table. With a child and elderly parents in tow, this meant we had to leave the flat for a while after fumigating it ourselves. The smell of mold and humidity was overwhelming. We had to empty the dehumidifier three times during our stay. Towels and sheets smelled musty, and even our clothes carried the odor after leaving. All of us experienced headaches, likely due to the poor air quality. To make matters worse, there was ongoing construction in the building — loud, disruptive, and even dangerous. A painting fell off the wall onto my sleeping parents. When I informed the host, I received a simple "sorry, we didn’t know," which felt dismissive given the seriousness. Other issues included steep stairs with no railing and a toilet without a door. This flat might work for someone in a pinch, but certainly not for families or anyone sensitive to mold or noise.
