Too many steps from beach so unsuitable for older guests

Cons: We stayed there in January and, due to the location of the apartment in the building, the sun never shone directly on our balcony. I'm sure that this would probably be a welcome refuge during the hot days of summer but found it too chilly to sit outside in the shade in January. We stayed for four (4) weeks and the apartment was cleaned only once, halfway through our stay. It would have been appreciated to have a weekly cleaning service and a more frequent change of towels and bedclothes. The apartment has a washer, but there is no dryer, and it is very difficult to hang clothes up to dry in a small apartment (let alone towels and sheets). Although the apartment description promises "free toiletries", only hand soap was provided on the sink. We also had to buy our own rubbish bags, toilet rolls, clothes-washing detergent, and paper towels to supplement the insufficient supply provided by the owner. We argued that this was unfair because most people probably stay no more than 7 days, and the apartment is cleaned and stocked up with such supplies before the next traveller arrives.
