Close to everything we took the train in to Madrid. Walking distance to restaurants. Parking was a problem no place to park.

Location good in Barajas neighborhood close to airport. Good size apartment with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, although second bathroom could use some attention (see below)

Second bathroom did not have light and toilet seat was broken (not attached properly)

“Good location but small, poorly maintained apartment”

The best

Thanks to double-glazing, the apartment was quiet, despite being on a busy street. The location is within walking distance of a train station and lots of restaurants and bars. It's close to the airport. There is a free public carpark with easy parking at the end of the street which was good because we couldn't find any on-street spots for our large SUV. There was good water pressure and enough hot water for five adults to shower comfortably. It was good to have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. The bed linen and towels were good. The wifi was excellent. The written instructions to access the apartment were easy to understand -once we found the entrance to the apartment, which wasn't easy.

To be improved

The apartment is very small and has been poorly maintained. There was no light (natural or electric) in one of the bathrooms- see the photo of where the light switch should have been, the toilet seat is unhinged in one bathroom -see photo and there are no locks on the bathroom doors, which led to some awkward moments with five adults sharing the apartment. The roller shutter only opened a fraction of the way in the main bedroom -see photo and there was an empty socket where the bedside lamp should have been. Two of the three beds were spongy and uncomfortable. I expected much better for $425/night.

The location, it is really close to the Airport

To be improved

When we arrived the apartment was a mess. The towels were on the floor, it seems the place hasn’t been cleaning at all. The beds still have the sheets used by the previous guest.
