Where to begin? The main issue with this apartment is the location. It is an apartment located in the projects of outer Madrid. The entrance to the apartment is close to 2 large mounds of uncollected rubbish. The "locals" do not want tourists here. There was a very intimidating atmosphere waking home in the evening. It is over 10 mins from the subway through graffiti on walls and benches and litter strewn everywhere. DO NOT walk here alone at night. The apartment is dated and looks like it hasn't changed the decor since 1992. The photos on booking.com are very misleading. Try to avoid sitting on the unusual looking stains on the couch if you can. There is loud noise from the outside and a weird smell of some sort of smoke in the apartment stairs. The shower pressure is ridiculously low when hot. This is not a nice place to stay. Especially for children. Avoid staying here. It is very expensive and bad value for money. Avoid this place at all costs.

The apartment was spacious, well equiped and clean. Keys were placed in apartment (not in lockbox), access to the flat was done by phone call to owner and he opened doors remotely and we collected keys.

To be improved

You need to count in the location - 8 minutes to metro station and 15 minutes ride to old town. The toilet doors could not be easily locked.
