Great communication with the property owners, great location to go train and row at the Banyoles rowing club, great location to access all the beautiful cycling roads in the area when you are a competive road cyclist, free parking space on the property, residential and quiet area, walking distance to the lake Banyoles coffee shops and restaurants and the old city, access to orange and lemon trees in the backyard, good property backyard space. Comfortable mattresses and lots of towels and linen available for four adults. Good size fridge and kitchen island is great.

We stayed at the apartment from dec. 23 2024 to jan. 18 2025 and the weather went into the -4 degrees celsius at night and didn’t expect the city water plumbing to freeze resulting in no running water for 2 mornings. Washing machine is outside and shared with the upper apartment. Some problems with the heating during the colder days, but the owners got it fixed quite fast which was good. Also they bought a new washing machine as the old one was too old. The owners have control over the heat in the apartment. Had some problems with leaky facets and sink drain in the bathroom. Theres no office space to work, maybe install something under or by the indoor stairs which go to the upper apartment or remove them to set something up. The kitchen oven from the booking.com photos is not functional so you have to bake using a small counter top oven so if you r a family of four and want to bake pizza using the small oven be patient it takes a while. The bathroom is very small for four adults. Minimum clothes storage space if your stay is longer than a weekend. If you love baking theres no baking pans or bowls, no measuring cups or spoons, no wine glasses, no spatula, no cheese grater, vegetable peeler.

It was a quirky apartment in the very best sense of the word. Loved the original artwork, the Tintin posters, the bi-plane and dirigible hanging from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms, the bright wall colours, the ship's light over the dining table that was originally used for attract fish. Lovely hosts and a lemon trees heavy with fruit in the garden. The proximity to Banyoles Lake. It you want an anodyne Airbnb this isn't for you. A unique apartment.
