I have spent tremendous days in Cádiz also thanks to being accomodated in Apartamento Duplex La Estrella secured by Alquiler vacacional Cádiz. The communication with the company was fast, pleasant and the apartment ready on time and clean. In the apartment I felt like at home. It was simply a perfect stay. Apartamento Duplex La Estrella has 2 bedrooms, big modern well equipped kitchen space with livingroom and 3 bathrooms which is great for families. The appartment lacks the daylight as the sleeping rooms are with small windows just under the ceiling with outside blinds and living room has big windows but also with outside blinds. I can believe that in hot summer it is the advantage, in April when I was there I would welcome more natural light in. The appartment is situated 2 min. from the beach and sea, close to the city centre. I felt very safe in the streets and in the beach during the days and at nights. If you travel in between Seville and Cadiz by train make sure you book the train tickets in advance. There are days and times when the train is fully booked.

Advertised as all on ground floor. . .steps to get up to flat once in the building. Once in flat the bedrooms were in basement with a stairway that was hard to use because of curve and lack of handrail. No electric kettle and no welcome tea or coffee packets. “City view” meant looking into the apartments in front of your windows, or watching the feet pass by in your bedroom. The instructions for entering the building, parking and front door of the flat were unclear and confusing. Light switches were very hard to find and use.

“Not good wouldn’t recommend….”

The access to the apartment was via a remote connection on your telephone which we found almost impossible to use, and had to call the company numerous times for help which we found very distressing. To access the garage parking was a similar problem…. The accommodation was very dark and the bedrooms where in the basement.. Overall a very negative experience….

Fantastic location to explore on foot - easy to find by car and the parking space was great, meant we could forget the car for the duration of our stay. Very clean and quiet.

To be improved

Slightly confusing link/app to gain access - once we discovered that the garage key also allowed us into the building, it was fine. We weren't old that you need to key to go down in the lift to the car (but not up!). Staff were helpful and available during working hours to help.
