To noise from work people around in the morning

We were stranded at the airport for many hours due to flight cancellations and having to pay for other flights! We had no internet data so had to keep conecting to the airport's poor internet. We contacted the host explaining that we would not be arriving until the early hours of the morning due to flight changes, we asked if she could arrange to leave the keys for pick up for when we arrived only to be met with a very un-helpful reception, saying she had emailed us with a link to pay a refundable deposit, we managed to get wifi and tried to click on the link she sent but it would not connect so we explained this and that we would make payment for this deposit as soon as we arrived, only to get a response of (quote) "we have called and written to you all day without response and I have to assist you on a Saturday at my house!! At 1.00 in the morning I will sleep, I will not be on the phone, thank you!, this is not a hotel with 24-hour reception, it's an apartment and I have my schedule. I am helping you but if you do not comply with the rules there is no access! I explained that we had paid for our room and just needed to access the keys when we arrived as we were going to need somewhere to sleep, as we had been travelling for over 20 hours, she then replied "you don't need to remind me that you pay for the room, but do you also know what a work schedule is? the link opens perfectly for me, if it doesn't solve it, I'm sorry, it's not my fault! Have you seen what time it is? If you can't enter your information, pick up the keys on Monday, It's not my problem. I take care of you outside of my hours and you have attitude!!" I went on to explain that I did not have an attitude I was simply asking for her help, but if this is the case then I will book another hotel room, she did then leave keys in a pick up box and gave location, after more abuse!

There was nothing i didn’t like

The entire street was a complete disaster with a construction crew below bedroom window starting at 8am & going till 5 or 6 . The noise was unbearable & the dust & dirt flying around everywhere even more unbearable. It was dangerous to even step outside the entrance to the building because a gate was blocking the doorway. In addition, the keys were another problem - getting jammed almost every time. I’d be happy to forward pictures of the totally unacceptable conditions for guests. The owner & the rental agency should PAUSE rentals during problematic times as these surely are. The apartment even had a patio but it was never even possible to even slightly open the door &/or sit outside due to the never ending piles of dust & dirt created by all the machinery outside the front door to the apartment.
