Apartamento El Espigón (Cimadevilla)

Great location, easy access and good communication.

This apartment is fantastic in every way. It's located in a quite area, that is literally 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Old Town of Gijon, this area has great architecture, lovely restaurants and bars. The apartment is also very close to many tourist attractions and beautiful views. There are views of the sea and marina from the apartment windows. The apartment is like a home from home, the host (Javier) has thought of all the things you might need to make your stay comfortable, and he has provided them. The apartment is large, well decorated, bright clean and airy. Prior to our arrival the Host contacted us and provided lots of details about check-in and the local area, his English is perfect and he responds to messages straight away. His customer service skills are impeccable, he really cares that his guest have a great stay. The apartment is within walking distance of the bus and train stations (10 -12 minutes). I would highly recommend staying at this apartment, I'll defiantly be staying here again when I next visit the beautiful city of Gijon.

Central location easy to walk into town, harbour and close to the roman baths

Fot a host I never actually met in person, Javier was one of the most attentaive and accomodating hosts I've (almost) met. Instructions before I arrived were extensive and accurate making everything very easy. At the very last minute, I opted to use the car parking they made available and it was all arranged in minutes. Incredibly attentive. The location of the apartment is ideal to explore the city as it is between the two beaches and adjecnt to the city centre. It's a short walk to some great restaurants and bars but far enough away that you can't hear them at night. The city centre is a short walk, and so are both beaches. The apartment itself is immaculate, with a lot of touches that make it feel far more homely than many other places I have stayed. We were only a couple staying so there was lots of spcce and the kitchen is well equiped. The view over the park and adjacent skateboard park is lovely. there was always some life and activity as it's a well used and peaceful part of the city. The view from the shower is the best. While Javier says you can't see in, my wife opted to cover the window, but I trusted Javier that no one could see in while I showered to a view of an amazing sunset.

The property was absolutely spotless when we stepped in. The decor was contemporary and very pleasing. The bathtub is huge. Our host,Javier, kept in touch the whole time we were there and was super helpful with information. Location was perfect and the apartment has everything you need. In fact, more than everything. So happy.
