“Right in the centre of the historic town directly by the river, but still quiet at night. Parking is remote (but easy) and this was clear in advance. The location is fabulous specifically because there are no cars on the narrow cobbled streets. · Cons: Kitchen could have been better equipped for home cooking, oven dishes especially.”

“Gorgeous views in a stunning area of the Picos”

The best

The view from this apartment is spectacular. There is no air conditioning so we kept the windows open and enjoyed the breezes and the fans that were provided. We didn’t experience noise at night, and enjoyed watching the kids play in the river under the apartment during the day. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and our apartment had a washer and dryer which we made great use of. It’s in the center of the old town which is so charming. We walked the town, visited Fuentes De and enjoyed the views and walks in some other nearby villages. The people in town were very friendly and helpful.

To be improved

We had a difficult time finding the apartment. As you come through town from the north (note the highway to Potes is under construction and there are many long delays) you will cross the river over a bridge with a traffic light and if you look to the left you will see the apartment building as you cross the bridge. You continue on this road and park in the towns main parking lot (free) and then walk back. You can park to unload right beside the farmacia (pharmacy with a green light). We also discovered and alternative route to the apartment walking beside the Lula grocery and over the bridge. It was well worth it once we finally found it. The bed was ok and there was no shower gel or shampoo but otherwise it was well equipped.
