Very nice apartment, spacious rooms, new and well equipped kitchen, right in the middle of the old town

Great location, of course, there is some outdoor noise, that’s because it’s in the best part of town.

The apartment was bright and comfortable, nicely laid out with a well equipped, easy to use kitchen with modern appliances. We were unsure about using wooden handled pots in the oven so didn't feel able to try it but it looked very good. The photos of the apartment give a good impression of how it looks and feels. We didn't have any problem with noise and found the double glazing did the trick, although we were there in the early spring the bars were still quite busy. The area has a nice atmosphere and feels like a place where people live although there are plenty of tourists visiting and in the evenings I think people come from other parts of the city to visit the bars and eateries. If you want to self-cater, as we did, there are plenty of places to get provisions; local butchers, fishmongers and grocers as well as a large Carrefour supermarket about 6 minutes away and the glorious La Ribera market at the far end of the street and across the road, 3-4 minutes walk. The apartment is well located for getting around the city and beyond with the metro, buses and trams and the railway station within easy walking distance. Several place were closed for renovation while we were there but we enjoyed the Museo de Bellas Artes (being upgraded but still with a small but wonderful set of exhibitions), and the Azkuna Zentro which is an amazing culture centre converted from a large, old wine market. We also visited the Itsas maritime museum which is fabulous. A nice, comfortable apartment where we would be happy to stay again.

Great space! Beds were very comfortable. Everything was easy to use. The indoor shades were a great additive. Location was incredible as we were within walking distance of plenty of food/drink spots. There were two light rail stops within a couple minute walk. The long-distance rail station is only a 10min walk, if you don’t want to wait for the light rail.
